Requirements
- Have 3+ years of experience in an MSP or IT operations role.
- Have hands-on Veeam B&R experience with jobs, repositories, backup copy, agents, and SureBackup.
- Be able to remediate day-to-day RMM alerts involving AV/EDR health, disk space, services, and offline devices; NinjaOne is preferred.
- Troubleshoot Windows patches, including failed cumulative updates, servicing stack and component store repair with DISM/SFC, WSUS and Windows Update logs, and third-party patching.
- Remediate vulnerability-scanner findings and verify that fixes clear the findings.
- Have experience with Windows Server, Hyper-V or VMware, NAS or iSCSI storage, and basic networking.
- Have experience with object storage targets such as Backblaze, Azure Blob, or Cloud Connect, including immutability and quotas.
- Write clearly for tickets and client reports and handle credentials in a disciplined manner.
- Be able to pass a background check for CMMC access.
- Work business hours ET, perform an early-morning check of overnight jobs, and participate in an after-hours escalation rotation.
- Nice to have: VMCE or VSPC, Huntress or another EDR/ITDR platform, Veeam for M365 and Azure backup, CMMC/NIST 800-171, or PowerShell remediation scripting.
Responsibilities
- Triage failed, missed, and warning backup jobs across Veeam servers, agents, and cloud copies.
- Remediate backup issues using NinjaOne and ScreenConnect, including storage, repository, network, licensing, and upgrade problems.
- Run scheduled and on-request restore tests and document audit-ready evidence.
- Enforce the backup standard and conduct the half-yearly backup audit.
- Maintain VSPC onboarding, offboarding, report recipients, and the managed-device list.
- Resolve NinjaOne condition alerts by addressing root causes and tuning alert conditions and thresholds.
- Remediate antivirus/EDR, disk-space, server, virtualization, and device-offline alerts.
- Resolve failed Windows and third-party application patches, including out-of-band updates when policy cannot approve them.
- Remediate vulnerability-scanner findings and verify that findings clear.
- Own Halo tickets, produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports, work on CMMC client systems, and keep Hudu credentials and runbooks current.
