Requirements
- Have 8+ years of experience building and maintaining production-grade software systems.
- Demonstrate strong software engineering fundamentals, including testing, clean code, maintainability, and performance optimization.
- Use AI-powered development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and MCP servers.
- Contribute to system architecture, conduct code reviews, and raise engineering standards.
- Solve complex problems, work through ambiguity, and independently define technical solutions.
- Be willing to participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
- Know security practices and have experience handling sensitive data, including PII.
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally and collaborate across functions.
- Experience with microservices, distributed systems, or large-scale data-intensive platforms is a plus.
- Familiarity with healthcare technology, compliance, regulated environments, MDM, or entity resolution systems is a plus.
- Experience reducing technical debt through iterative refactoring or improving developer productivity through CI/CD practices and engineering tools is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Own feature delivery from design and development through deployment and production support.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable systems for evolving product requirements.
- Collaborate with product stakeholders to clarify requirements and develop technical solutions.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and improve application performance and reliability.
- Promote engineering standards through testing, clean code, maintainable solutions, and code reviews.
- Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and operational reliability initiatives.
- Apply security best practices to systems that process personally identifiable information.
