Requirements
- Have at least 7 years of professional software engineering experience, including ownership of production full-stack applications.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in TypeScript, Angular, JavaScript, and modern front-end development.
- Have extensive experience developing back-end services and RESTful APIs using Node.js or Python.
- Have solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, SQL, and relational database design.
- Be able to independently lead complex features, make architectural decisions, and deliver maintainable production solutions.
- Have experience with authentication, authorization, secure application development, automated testing, and production troubleshooting.
- Be familiar with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevSecOps practices.
- Have experience using AI-assisted development tools within a structured engineering workflow.
- Be able to mentor engineers and contribute to shared engineering standards.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
- Experience with PaaS solutions, internal developer platforms, cloud-native products, Kubernetes, Docker, cloud platforms, automated deployment workflows, NIST security controls, or FISMA is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain secure, scalable full-stack web applications for enterprise platforms and federal operations.
- Build responsive front-end interfaces using TypeScript, Angular, JavaScript, and modern web development frameworks.
- Develop back-end services, business logic, and RESTful APIs using Node.js or Python.
- Design, manage, and optimize PostgreSQL databases, SQL queries, and relational data models.
- Lead complex software features and make architectural decisions balancing scalability, security, performance, and maintainability.
- Contribute to application modernization through cloud-native architectures, reusable components, and automated development workflows.
- Implement secure coding practices, authentication, authorization, and automated testing; support Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify performance bottlenecks, and improve application reliability.
- Collaborate with product, platform, cybersecurity, and government stakeholders, and mentor engineers.
