Requirements
- Have hands-on production experience with dbt, specifically in data modelling.
- Have experience building scalable ETL pipelines and warehouse models, beyond dashboarding or BI work.
- Have advanced SQL skills, including complex transformations, performance optimisation, and working with large datasets.
- Have solid working knowledge of Git and GitHub, including branching, pull requests, and code reviews.
- Have good spoken and written English for a cross-functional, international team.
- Google Cloud Platform experience, particularly BigQuery, is preferred.
- Experience with dbt modelling in payments or fintech is strongly preferred.
- Experience with EU or UK regulatory reporting, such as for the CSSF, FCA, or banks, is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Build the CDDP6 regulatory report using the existing, defined requirements.
- Design, develop, and deploy production-grade dbt models and SQL transformations in Google BigQuery.
- Clarify requirements and edge cases directly with the Product Manager.
- Act as the main technical point of contact for the report.
- Follow Analytics Engineering standards, including modular SQL, automated testing, and thorough model documentation.
- Work independently and take ownership of delivery with limited support from the internal Analytics Engineering team.
