- Minimum of 3 years of experience in provision of clinical service; At least 1 year of clinical supervisory experience
Requirements
- Hold a master’s degree in communication disorders.
- Hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience providing clinical services.
- Have at least 1 year of clinical supervisory experience.
- Have a minimum of 2 hours of continuing education in clinical supervision, per ASHA requirements.
- Demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching.
- Prior postsecondary academic teaching experience is preferred.
- Experience supervising clinical placements is preferred.
- Experience and expertise in online teaching are preferred.
- Administrative experience is preferred.
- Experience supporting diversity, equity, inclusion, access, and belonging initiatives is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned online classes in speech-language pathology.
- Manage all aspects of clinical placements for online students in the M.S. degree program.
- Coordinate with the HSHP Experiential Learning Specialist and the graduate chair of the online modality.
- Serve as supervisor and liaison for online graduate practicum experiences.
- Manage databases and maintain records.
- Coordinate with external partners, meet deadlines, and problem-solve under tight timelines.
- Advise students as needed.
- Participate in departmental, school, and college service.
- Engage in scholarly activity per departmental policy for clinical faculty.
