Requirements
- Currently pursuing an MBA or equivalent graduate business program.
- Bring strong business acumen, critical thinking, and structured problem-solving skills.
- Be comfortable working independently and building a plan rather than only executing someone else's.
- Be comfortable using spreadsheets and conducting data analysis.
- Have strong communication and influencing skills, including confidence negotiating directly with business owners.
- Be able to work through ambiguity and rejection in hands-on, early-stage work.
- Prior experience in SaaS, agentic services, marketing, sales, business development, or a startup is ideal.
Responsibilities
- Map the local service-provider landscape in an assigned category or geography, including merchant density, acquisition channels, and competing platforms.
- Build a scoring framework to assess opportunities and prioritize merchant categories or neighborhoods.
- Create a target list and independently reach out to local business owners to introduce Nearby.ai and pitch its value proposition.
- Build and maintain a merchant pipeline in a CRM or spreadsheet, tracking stages, next steps, and expected close.
- Test outreach channels, messaging, and timing, and use results to refine the approach.
- Analyze outreach and conversion data, including contacts, response rates, and conversion rates.
- Translate merchant feedback into structured insights and develop business cases for where the company should focus.
- Draft tailored outreach scripts, pitch decks, and partnership proposals, and lead onboarding conversations through to close.
- Report weekly on outreach metrics, pipeline, insights, and next steps to leadership.
- Present a capstone market analysis, results, and recommended merchant-acquisition strategy to company leadership.
