Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in data engineering, business intelligence development, systems integration, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database technologies, preferably Azure SQL Database or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting ETL or ELT pipelines for enterprise data warehouses.
- Working knowledge of Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Azure Storage.
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining REST APIs, webhooks, and system-to-system integrations.
- Practical professional experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot.
- Ability to review, validate, troubleshoot, and correct AI-generated code for accuracy, security, and reliability.
- Experience writing and maintaining unit tests for application, database, and integration code.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or GitHub for source control, build pipelines, and software release management.
- Experience with Celigo or comparable integration platforms such as Boomi, Workato, or Azure Logic Apps is preferred.
- Willingness and ability to travel occasionally to support organizational and customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage and enhance the Microsoft Azure data warehouse architecture, including its reliability, security, and performance.
- Oversee ETL and ELT pipelines, coordinate maintenance, and identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Design database schemas, data pipelines, and semantic models for new sources and reporting requirements.
- Troubleshoot and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, pipeline jobs, and database processes.
- Design, develop, monitor, and improve integrations between NetSuite, HubSpot, other operational platforms, and the data warehouse.
- Develop and maintain integrations using Celigo and establish monitoring and alerting for synchronization issues.
- Manage Azure-based internal applications, develop features, and resolve defects through testing and validation.
- Build internal tools, reports, workflows, and applications, and automate repetitive processes across finance, sales, and operations.
- Integrate AI-assisted development tools into coding, reviews, testing, and documentation; develop reusable AI-enabled resources and contribute to responsible-use guidelines.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and implementation records, and test changes before release.
