Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience developing software as an individual contributor.
- Strong hands-on programming experience in Java, Python, or Go, with continued interest in coding.
- At least 3 years of experience managing engineering teams of approximately 10–15 people.
- Demonstrated product management experience, including roadmap ownership, stakeholder prioritization, and scope trade-offs.
- Practical experience with cloud platforms, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and monitoring, or close collaboration with DevOps engineers.
- Experience applying Lean and Agile management practices.
- Track record of delivering several large-scale projects within the past three years.
- Advanced English proficiency, particularly in written and spoken communication.
- Experience facilitating one-on-ones, team discussions, planning sessions, and retrospectives.
- Experience recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding engineers at different seniority levels.
- Experience managing two teams simultaneously is an advantage.
- Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, SRE, integrations, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Datadog, and Metabase experience are advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Platform and Integrations engineering teams and align their roadmaps with organizational priorities.
- Act as product owner for team initiatives by gathering requirements, prioritizing requests, and translating needs into roadmaps and delivery milestones.
- Monitor delivery progress and team health, identify bottlenecks, and improve execution processes.
- Communicate priorities, trade-offs, dependencies, and risks to Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders.
- Define technical direction and roadmaps, including prioritization of technical debt.
- Write and review code in Java, Python, or Go when needed, and contribute to system design, API contracts, and architecture decisions.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure and DevOps teams on cloud environments, Kubernetes, CI/CD, monitoring, and reliability.
- Participate in production incident reviews and root cause analyses, and establish engineering quality standards.
- Coach and develop engineers through one-on-ones, feedback, performance reviews, and career development plans.
- Manage headcount planning, recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and engineering productivity.
