- At least 5 years of teaching experience in a school setting. Tutoring experience does not count toward this requirement.
Requirements
- Have at least 5 years of teaching experience in a school setting; tutoring experience does not count.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in Science, Environmental Science, Physics, Science Education, or a related discipline.
- Have strong knowledge of Environmental Science and Physical Science.
- Be available for the complete teaching schedule from January to March 2027.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Be familiar with online teaching platforms and technology-enabled education.
- A recognized teaching qualification, such as a teaching degree, teaching license, or postgraduate certificate in education, is preferred.
- Previous online teaching experience is an advantage.
- Experience teaching Environmental Science or Physical Science at middle or high school level is preferred.
- Familiarity with international or U.S. curricula is an advantage.
- Complete onboarding by December 2026.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver live lessons in Environmental Science and Physical Science.
- Teach ecosystems, sustainability, energy, forces and motion, matter and its properties, and human interactions with the environment.
- Guide students through the scientific method, including questions, simple investigations, observations, and evidence-based conclusions.
- Use digital teaching tools, virtual laboratories, simulations, and interactive resources in the online classroom.
- Assess student understanding and progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching approaches.
- Prepare homework, learning activities, and assessments.
- Communicate with students, families, and the wider academic team about progress and learning needs.
- Contribute to educational resources and the student learning experience.
