Requirements
- Have at least 5 years of engineering experience, including 3 or more years in a customer-facing technical role.
- Bring experience in implementation engineering, post-sales engineering, or sales engineering; these are identified as ideal backgrounds.
- Have experience working with complex API-based or SaaS products in technical pre-sales, discovery, demonstrations, implementation, or post-sales engineering.
- Be proficient in at least one programming language, such as Python, Go, JavaScript, or TypeScript; Python is preferred.
- Be familiar with deploying technical solutions through AWS, GCP, or Azure, and/or with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Be able to engage directly with clients and translate their business and technical needs into solutions.
- Have hands-on experience building with AI tools, including for prototyping, problem-solving, or improving workflows.
- Be willing and able to travel up to 25%.
- Telecommunications experience is an asset but is not required.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical customer engagements throughout the pre-sales process, including product demonstrations, pilot projects, and proof-of-concept implementations.
- Conduct technical discovery and translate customer requirements into solution architectures, including API strategies and integrations.
- Develop and deliver customized technical presentations and demonstrations for prospective and existing clients.
- Partner with Account Executives to develop account strategies and execute customer engagements.
- Produce technical documentation, solution specifications, and Statements of Work to support sales activities and communicate customer requirements to Product and Engineering teams.
- Evaluate solution scope, feasibility, and technical risks with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate across Sales, Engineering, Product, and Public Safety teams to align customer expectations with technical capabilities.
- Apply AI tools to accelerate prototyping, problem-solving, and solution development.
