Requirements
- Have at least 5 years of software engineering experience, including 2 or more years designing systems as a Solutions Architect, Technical Lead, or in a comparable role.
- Have experience in an agency, consultancy, or product development studio managing multiple client projects.
- Have owned the architecture of client-facing products deployed and used by real customers.
- Bring strong backend and data architecture fundamentals, including API design and relational database modeling with PostgreSQL or comparable technologies.
- Have cloud architecture experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including containers, deployment processes, and monitoring.
- Have practical experience designing integrations involving APIs, webhooks, SSO, OAuth, background queues, and failure handling.
- Have hands-on experience architecting AI and LLM features, including RAG solutions and production evaluation.
- Be able to review code and architecture, identify implementation issues, and communicate solutions to engineers.
- Be confident leading client-facing technical discussions and explaining trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
- Be able to produce clear technical scopes and realistic estimates.
- Use AI tools regularly for architecture, technical reviews, and documentation.
- Have excellent written and spoken English.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery sessions with clients and translate business requirements and constraints into solution designs.
- Design system architectures for web, mobile, and AI-powered products, including services, data models, hosting infrastructure, and system interactions.
- Develop technical proposal components and scopes of work, including modules, user flows, acceptance criteria, edge cases, and estimates.
- Design third-party integrations and vendor connections, including APIs, webhooks, retries, queues, monitoring, and provider flexibility.
- Plan multi-tenant and white-label architectures with appropriate data isolation and access controls.
- Integrate security and privacy considerations, including encryption, audit logs, consent management, data residency, and external audit requirements.
- Design AI and LLM-powered features, including model selection, RAG, guardrails, and production evaluation frameworks.
- Review code, pull requests, and engineering approaches to keep implementation aligned with approved architecture.
- Guide engineers, establish technical standards, and maintain technical quality through delivery and handover.
- Maintain architecture documentation and collaborate with Sales and Project Management on scope, timelines, dependencies, and delivery risks.
