Have 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years designing systems as a solutions architect, technical lead, or similar.
Bring an agency, consultancy, or studio background, with experience designing for multiple clients at once.
Have owned architecture for client products that launched with real users.
Have strong backend and data fundamentals, including API and relational data-model design using PostgreSQL or similar.
Have cloud architecture experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including containers, deployments, and monitoring.
Have hands-on integration design experience with third-party APIs, webhooks, SSO, OAuth, background queues, and failure handling.
Have designed LLM or RAG features with production evaluation for client products.
Be able to review pull requests and explain architectural corrections to engineers.
Be comfortable leading client-facing technical calls and explaining trade-offs to non-technical founders.
Write clear technical scopes with estimates the team can meet.
Use AI tools regularly in design, review, and writing work.
Have excellent written and spoken English.

Lead technical discovery with clients, identify constraints, and turn ideas into solution designs.
Design system architecture for web, mobile, and AI products, including services, data models, hosting, and system connections.
Write technical proposal and scope content covering modules, user flows, acceptance criteria, edge cases, and estimates.
Design third-party API and vendor integrations, including retries, queues, webhooks, monitoring, and provider flexibility.
Plan multi-tenant and white-label systems with data isolation and access control.
Build in security and privacy measures, including encryption, audit logs, consent, data residency, and audit evidence.
Design AI and LLM features, including model selection, RAG, guardrails, and production evaluations.
Plan phased delivery, starting with a lean MVP and supporting the full build without a rewrite.
Work with sales and project managers on scope, timelines, and risks, and flag infeasible plans early.
Review code, pull requests, and technical approaches; guide engineers, maintain architecture documentation, and own technical quality through delivery and handover.
