Job Details

Be fluent in Indonesian and English and skilled in the associated cultural dynamics.
Provide cultural competency and assess regional and accent differences to communicate with limited-English speakers.
Have strong listening, retention, and note-taking skills to maintain accuracy.
Concentrate, remain detached, neutral, and objective, including during calls involving sensitive subjects.
Adapt to technology enhancements used to improve service delivery.
Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Have a dedicated personal device and a desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone using a listed supported operating system.
Have high-speed internet with at least 5 Mbps download, 3 Mbps upload, ping no greater than 300 ms, and jitter no greater than 30 ms.
Have access to a quiet space free from background noise or distraction.
Be able to operate a keyboard and mouse and remain stationary at a computer for most of the workday.
Be able to operate company software and systems and have sufficient manual dexterity to type or write.

Respond promptly to interpreting sessions and conduct interpretation in a friendly, professional manner.
Render concepts and meanings accurately according to established interpretation protocols, without omissions or additions.
Speak clearly in Indonesian and English using proper pronunciation, enunciation, and polite expressions.
Maintain a professional demeanor throughout interpreting sessions.
Remain calm when speakers are incoherent or upset, including during emergency calls.
Maintain punctuality and availability during work hours.
Follow client instructions and protocol, including avoiding interaction with the limited-English-speaking person without client permission.
Apply appropriate protocol and terminology for industries including medical, insurance, finance, and law.
Demonstrate cultural sensitivity when interpreting across diverse backgrounds.
