Requirements
- Have 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Bring strong production experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Have experience with React, React Router, or Remix.
- Have experience with PostgreSQL and ORMs.
- Have API development experience.
- Have experience with AWS, including serverless services such as Lambda and SQS/SNS, and infrastructure as code using CDK.
- Have software development experience in healthcare or another regulated industry, such as finance or security.
- Have experience handling PHI under HIPAA, including least-privilege access and audit trails.
- Have a track record of owning and supporting production systems.
- Be based in the US and available for core overlap with Eastern Time.
Responsibilities
- Design and ship secure, reliable features across APIs and event-driven AWS services.
- Create fast, accessible React interfaces for clinicians, field responders, and care coordinators.
- Write unit and integration tests, review code, and provide technical guidance on standards and design.
- Write architecture decision records and lead multi-phase initiatives from design through rollout.
- Build LLM-powered features and use AI-assisted development tools.
- Build and own integrations with health systems and partners, including HL7v2/ADT feeds, FHIR, CCDA, and interoperability platforms.
- Evolve data models and pipelines for clinical and operational data.
- Partner with Product Management and cross-functional teams to scope, define, design, and ship features.
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify improvements, and share on-call duties.
