Requirements
- Have production experience building and maintaining cross-platform mobile apps with React Native and TypeScript.
- Have shipped apps to both the Apple App Store and Google Play.
- Have hands-on production experience with React Native Reanimated, including worklets and shared values, and Gesture Handler.
- Be able to profile real devices using Xcode Instruments, Android Studio Profiler, and React Native DevTools.
- Have hands-on experience with GraphQL and TanStack Query (React Query) for caching, mutations, race conditions, and offline or reconnection handling.
- Have practical experience managing builds and submissions through Apple App Store Connect and Google Play Console.
- Have experience configuring crash monitoring with Sentry and over-the-air updates.
- Be comfortable working as a focused individual contributor on production code, performance optimization, and releases.
Responsibilities
- Architect tactile, gesture-driven mobile interactions in TypeScript using React Native Reanimated, Gesture Handler, and Skia.
- Profile and improve performance across iOS and Android devices, addressing thread bottlenecks, dropped frames, sluggish view hierarchies, and memory leaks.
- Build resilient mobile query pipelines with GraphQL and TanStack Query, including cache updates, pagination, network dropouts, and reconnection reconciliation.
- Manage deployment workflows for the Apple App Store and Google Play, including testing tracks, provisioning, and store review processes.
- Use Expo (EAS), fastlane, Sentry, and OTA updates in release workflows.
- Leverage React Native’s New Architecture, including Fabric and TurboModules.
- Build custom native modules or haptics where JavaScript bridges limit performance.
