Requirements
- Hold an active, unrestricted New Jersey MD or DO license.
- Board certification in a relevant medical specialty is preferred.
- Have a strong understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Have experience or interest in medical aesthetics, dermatology, plastic surgery, primary care, functional medicine, or wellness.
- Be comfortable collaborating with an experienced Nurse Practitioner.
- Maintain professional liability coverage appropriate to the arrangement.
- Sign an MSA agreement with Physicians Independent LLC as legally required in the State of NJ.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a collaborating physician and/or designated Medical Director, as applicable.
- Establish and maintain required collaborative practice agreements and clinical protocols.
- Provide clinical consultation and guidance to the Nurse Practitioner when needed.
- Support compliance with New Jersey medical practice regulations and applicable standards of care.
- Review clinical policies, protocols, and procedures as appropriate.
- Participate in periodic quality assurance and clinical oversight activities.
- Provide medical guidance regarding aesthetic, wellness, and functional health services within the physician's qualifications and scope of practice.
