Requirements
- Hold an RN license (USRN any state).
- Have at least 1-year experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
- Bring experience or specialisation in patient care, family medicine, acute care, or clinical settings (preferred).
- Have excellent written and verbal English communication skills at least at C1 level.
- Understand medical terminology and practices.
- Be proficient in EHR/EMR systems and able to troubleshoot common technical issues.
- Understand healthcare privacy regulations.
- Be able to work a graveyard shift.
- Provide a USB headset with noise cancellation and a working webcam.
- Have a main and backup computer with at least a 1.8 GHz processor and 4GB RAM.
- Have a wired main internet connection of at least 25 Mbps and backup internet of at least 10 Mbps.
Responsibilities
- Call patients to relay test results in a timely and professional manner.
- Create and process referrals for specialised healthcare providers.
- Order labs and imaging while coordinating and scheduling patient appointments.
- Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR), ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Follow healthcare regulations, including HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
- Use Avaya soft phone to interact with patients and healthcare providers.
- Handle ad hoc tasks to support the healthcare team.
