Requirements
- Hold an active Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential in good standing.
- Have a bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
- Have experience providing nutrition counseling and patient education.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Have a reliable internet connection and home office setup.
- Be proficient with telehealth platforms and electronic documentation systems.
- A master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Public Health, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience providing telehealth or virtual nutrition services is a plus.
- Experience supporting weight management programs is a plus.
- Experience with diabetes, cardiovascular disease, metabolic health, or lifestyle medicine is a plus.
- Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments via telehealth.
- Develop individualized nutrition care plans based on patient goals, medical history, and lifestyle factors.
- Provide ongoing nutrition counseling, education, and behavior-change coaching.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust recommendations as needed.
- Educate patients on nutrition, disease prevention, weight management, and healthy lifestyle practices.
- Help patients establish realistic health goals and provide ongoing support and follow-up.
- Document patient encounters accurately and maintain records in accordance with company standards and applicable regulations.
- Use telehealth and electronic documentation systems and stay current with evidence-based nutrition guidelines.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, health coaches, and other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
