Requirements
- Have 5–15 years of professional software development experience, including hands-on PHP experience.
- Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; graduates from other disciplines may also be considered.
- Be familiar with open-source platforms and projects such as Joomla, Drupal, Wikis, and osCommerce.
- Demonstrate knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
- Understand relational databases, version control systems, and web service development.
- Have experience integrating and working with third-party APIs, such as Google, Facebook, and eBay.
- Understand software development principles and write maintainable, well-designed code.
- Bring strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Be able to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate with a development team.
Responsibilities
- Design, write, and maintain clean, efficient, scalable PHP code.
- Prepare technical specifications and translate requirements into software solutions.
- Troubleshoot, test, and maintain core product software and databases.
- Contribute to planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Develop, implement, and deploy features for product improvements and related processes.
- Apply software development standards, coding quality practices, and application security best practices.
- Work with relational databases, web services, and third-party APIs to support integrations.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, optimize performance, and enhance user experience.
- Propose technical improvements and ideas based on relevant technologies.
