Requirements
- Have 5–15 years of professional software development experience, including hands-on Java development.
- Bring practical experience designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms.
- Understand object-oriented analysis and design principles, including common design patterns.
- Have knowledge of Java and JEE internals, including class loading, memory management, and transaction management.
- Have knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies such as JPA 2 and Hibernate.
- Have hands-on experience with the Spring Framework.
- Have experience developing web applications with at least one established framework, such as JSF, Wicket, GWT, or Spring MVC.
- Be familiar with test-driven development and software testing best practices.
- Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; graduates from other fields may also be considered.
- Java certification, such as Sun Certified Java Developer, is an advantage.
- Bring analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate within a software development team.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to software lifecycle phases from requirements analysis and design through development, testing, and deployment.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications using Java and Java EE.
- Write clean, well-structured, testable, and efficient code that meets project specifications and engineering standards.
- Ensure application designs and implementations meet functional, technical, and performance requirements.
- Develop and maintain software components and prepare reliable releases.
- Apply object-oriented analysis and design principles and appropriate software design patterns.
- Work with relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies to support data management.
- Investigate tools, technologies, and approaches, and contribute recommendations during architectural reviews.
- Identify opportunities to improve application quality, maintainability, and performance.
