Job Details

Have 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience and a track record of shipping high-quality production code.
Have strong experience in a JVM language, specifically Java or Kotlin.
Have experience building libraries or services that other developers depend on.
Have a deep understanding of object-oriented programming and API design, including backward compatibility and versioning.
Have experience driving changes across teams, such as migrations or deprecations involving many consumers.
Have a track record of leading projects that span teams and the communication skills to support that work.
Be fluent in using coding agents and LLM tools day to day, and know how to verify their output.
Be comfortable working in Python and other layers of the stack, or eager to learn.
Bonus: Have experience with feature flagging or product configuration systems, experimentation platforms, or web and mobile clients.
Bonus: Have experience with latency-sensitive, high-throughput client SDKs.

Build and extend experimentation, feature flagging and product configuration clients and their supporting services.
Design and lead cross-team migrations by evolving client APIs, deprecating old APIs and safely moving consuming services.
Improve the testability, performance and reliability of widely deployed client libraries.
Build allocation and targeting capabilities, such as holdouts and mutually exclusive experiments, in partnership with data science.
Use AI-assisted development for migrations, tests and refactors, and help establish good practices for its use.
Participate in software development from design through implementation and testing, and take part in on-call.
Work across the stack, including Python services, when needed.
