Requirements
- Have 10+ years of consulting experience.
- Have 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, or analytics.
- Hold the Data Engineering Professional certification and have completed the required classes.
- Have hands-on Databricks development experience across at least 6–8 projects.
- Have strong coding ability in Python or Scala.
- Have deep experience with distributed computing using Spark, including knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
- Have working knowledge of at least two common cloud ecosystems: AWS, Azure, or GCP, with deep expertise in at least one.
- Be familiar with CI/CD for production deployments.
- Have working knowledge of MLOps.
- Maintain current knowledge across Databricks product and platform features.
- Be familiar with performance and scalability optimizations.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers on short- to mid-term professional services projects using the Databricks platform.
- Design and build reference architectures for production-level big data and AI applications.
- Support production use cases and deployments across data engineering, data science, and cloud.
- Write code in Python or Scala and work with distributed compute using Apache Spark.
- Integrate solutions across cloud ecosystems.
- Collaborate with engagement managers, customer teams, and internal engineering and support teams to deliver technical work.
- Provide escalated technical support and operational assistance to resolve issues or unblock customers.
- Scope engagements and support sales or pre-sales by estimating effort and defining deliverables, as needed.
- Provide customer-engagement feedback to product and engineering teams.
