Requirements
- 5+ years developing backend services with Python and a variety of data systems.
- Experience designing APIs for a SaaS product.
- Experience operating production services on public cloud infrastructure.
- Understand web security principles, including OWASP, authentication, and authorization.
- Be an active user of AI coding tools such as Cursor and Claude Code.
- Have some experience with Java/Spring or Go.
- Have exposure to frontend development with Angular or React.
- Work across distributed cloud systems and varied technology stacks.
- Share expertise, guide less experienced team members, and document work.
Responsibilities
- Develop platform and admin services used by Bloomreach SaaS products.
- Design and build backend services and APIs for SaaS products.
- Review teammates’ GitLab merge requests and contribute to technical design documents.
- Improve logging and alerting for high-uptime components.
- Write unit tests, create merge requests, deploy changes, and run smoke tests.
- Operate services in production on public cloud infrastructure.
- Advise other teams on authorization API integration and share technical documentation.
- Coordinate with product managers and teammates to refine proposals and plan work.
