Requirements
- Bring strong hands-on experience with Bazel and modern build systems.
- Have senior-level experience in software engineering.
- Understand build system architecture, scalability, and performance optimization.
- Have experience with developer productivity tooling and CI/CD environments.
- Present technical solutions clearly to clients.
- Collaborate effectively in a fully remote environment.
- Overlap with EST hours daily.
- Have reliable high-speed internet.
- Experience migrating legacy build systems to Bazel or improving Bazel-based setups is a bonus.
- Experience with Bazel remote caching and remote build execution (RBE) is a bonus.
- Broad exposure to multiple programming languages and platforms is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Design build infrastructure for large-scale software projects.
- Implement and optimize build infrastructure using Bazel and related technologies.
- Work closely with clients on build-system challenges.
- Help organizations improve developer productivity, build reliability, and engineering velocity.
- Contribute to open-source projects and the Bazel ecosystem.
- Share knowledge through open-source contributions and blog posts.
- Present technical solutions clearly to clients.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams across projects.
