Requirements
- Have strong experience in at least one object-oriented programming language.
- Use industry-standard AI tools, including LLMs, while balancing code quality and speed without compromising reliability or architecture.
- Be willing to learn in a programming-language-agnostic environment, including working with Python.
- Be comfortable working in an infrastructure-heavy environment.
- Have proven experience designing and scaling APIs.
- Be familiar with distributed systems and asynchronous architectures.
- Be willing to learn networking concepts including BGP, CIDR, and ASNs.
- Be fluent in English.
- Experience with Python is a plus.
- Experience with very large datasets is a plus.
- Experience with proxies or other networking-related technologies is a plus.
- Experience with Go is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain high-performance backend APIs that power Webshare’s proxy infrastructure.
- Own the design and delivery of services that handle billions of requests daily.
- Collaborate with the team to scope, plan, and execute work with minimal meetings.
- Investigate and resolve production issues across distributed systems.
- Balance speed and quality when choosing trade-offs.
- Operate and improve containerized infrastructure.
- Improve system performance, observability, and cost-efficiency.
