Requirements
- PhD in a science or healthcare field.
- Early-career professional experience in one or more complex medical disorders.
- Knowledge of best practices for researching medical literature.
- Well-developed research capabilities, including use of PubMed and Google Scholar.
- A Doctorate of Physical Therapy combined with orthopedic/PT experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience in women's health, such as pelvic floor physical therapy, is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a service orientation for serving as a trusted client advisor.
- Written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently and resourcefully, make rapid decisions amid ambiguity and deadlines, and collaborate with colleagues and external experts.
Responsibilities
- Participate in client calls with clinicians to communicate research findings and support shared decision-making.
- Analyze patient medical records and track lab values, symptoms, medication histories, and clinical outcomes.
- Review and analyze medical literature, summarize articles, and compare clinical-study findings in patient-friendly terms.
- Interpret molecular diagnostics and laboratory tests to support patient care decisions.
- Research, evaluate, and prioritize treatment options using standards of care, professional guidelines, and investigational approaches.
- Identify and connect with key opinion leaders and other experts to guide decision-making.
- Identify and evaluate potential clinical trials using database searches, supporting evidence, and trial-site outreach.
- Create patient education documents, reports, presentations, spreadsheets, graphs, and charts.
