Requirements
- Have 4+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- Have experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale.
- Have experience with technologies such as Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Have experience shipping front-end applications.
- Have experience defining a technical plan for delivery of a significant feature or system component.
- Design systems and components that are elegant, simple, and extensible.
- Write high-quality code that is easily understood and used by others.
- Be proficient at making significant changes in a large code base.
- Have developed tools and practices that enable safe changes to a large code base.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team.
- Lead engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems and support them throughout delivery.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics during ideation and product development.
- Articulate technical constraints and partner on decisions that consider risks and trade-offs.
- Identify and lead solutions for project, process, technology, or business issues.
- Create and monitor metrics, escalate when needed, and support operational availability and on-call efforts.
- Set or improve code review and design standards and advocate for them through writing and tech talks.
- Provide feedback and guidance to develop team talent.
