Requirements
- Have 5+ years of accounting experience, including direct ownership of the month-end close.
- Have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Have strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and U.S. accounting practices.
- Have experience managing accounting across multiple entities, locations, or business units.
- Have expert-level QuickBooks Online experience.
- Have strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Have hands-on experience with financial reporting, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, AR, AP, payroll, and month-end close.
- Bring strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Be highly organized and detail-oriented, and able to work independently and take ownership of accounting responsibilities.
- A CPA license is preferred but not required.
- 2–4 years of public accounting or external audit experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Own the month-end close across multiple locations and entities.
- Manage and review financial records by business unit, including P&L, AR, AP, payroll, and other accounting records.
- Ensure financial reporting is accurate, complete, and timely, and investigate discrepancies or unusual activity.
- Perform and review bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintain accounting records and supporting documentation in QuickBooks Online.
- Perform and review audit procedures, support external audits, and respond to audit requests.
- Evaluate internal controls, identify accounting and financial risks, and strengthen controls.
- Partner with the VP of Accounting and company leadership to develop scalable accounting systems and processes.
