Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent relevant education.
- 4-6 years of professional accounting experience preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience leading at least 2 accountants.
- Continuing education such as a Master in Accountancy, CPA, or CMA is preferred but not required.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Knowledge of GAAP/SFAS.
- Ability to analyze financial data, research, and report results.
- Attention to detail and deadline-oriented work habits.
- Strong customer service and leadership skills.
- Must be residing in the Philippines.
- Wired internet with a minimum speed of 30 Mbps and backup plans for power or internet interruptions.
- i5 11th Gen or higher, Windows 11 or MacOS Catalina or higher, and a minimum of 8 GB RAM.
- Private, quiet dedicated home office area, plus a headset and webcam.
Responsibilities
- Perform, monitor, and manage day-to-day accounting and month-end close functions.
- Record financial transactions and prepare, review, and distribute financial reports.
- Prepare reconciliations, roll forwards, and financial analysis.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, trend analysis, and fluctuation commentary.
- Provide financial reporting and analysis to internal and external business partners.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Mentor new hires, lead projects, and resolve team issues.
- Act as a subject matter expert for specialized accounting areas and systems, including training and troubleshooting.
- Own close sign-off, forecasts, team lead duties, and reviews.
