Requirements
- Hold an advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacology, or medicine.
- Have previous medical writing experience in a medical communications agency or pharmaceutical environment.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.
- Have strong financial, administrative, and organizational skills.
- Show attention to detail and ability to prioritize responsibilities.
- Work effectively both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Have advanced computer skills and knowledge of Internet searches.
- Use Microsoft Windows software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; be able to maintain complex spreadsheets in Excel.
- Travel as needed, including weekends.
Responsibilities
- Review and interpret data from preclinical and clinical research articles to create scientific written materials aligned with project briefs.
- Synthesize clinical trial data and explain its relevance for physician and consumer audiences according to client requirements.
- Conduct literature searches and stay current with medical developments to ensure accurate medical information.
- Work with pharmaceutical clients and interact with scientists and physicians on therapeutic and scientific issues.
- Participate in client meetings and teleconferences.
- Attend scientific meetings as required.
