Requirements
- Be comfortable owning the full lifecycle from design to deploy.
- Bring strong instincts for distributed systems, data modeling, and API design.
- Use good judgment about when to prioritize speed versus long-term scalability.
- Have a track record of shipping and operating mission-critical services under high-volume traffic.
- Be primarily backend-focused, using Python or a similar language.
- Be comfortable working across the stack when needed.
- Be familiar with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and debugging system-level issues.
- Have experience with at least one of billing/payments systems, B2B SaaS tooling, enterprise software, or LLM/AI model integrations and products.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend systems for web-scale, AI-driven search products.
- Shape public APIs and SDKs for developers.
- Build billing, account, permissions, and provisioning systems for enterprise customers.
- Maintain performant production SQL and NoSQL databases and analytics stores at scale.
- Apply observability practices suited to large-scale, fast-changing AI workloads.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and help build monitoring that catches issues early.
- Refactor and improve existing systems and help shape team-wide best practices.
