Requirements
- Have 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Have experience in financial reporting and/or technical accounting, including required public accounting experience.
- Bring a strong foundation in U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
- Have experience researching accounting guidance and contributing to technical accounting memorandums.
- Have general knowledge of stock-based compensation accounting under ASC 718 and experience supporting related journal entries, reconciliations, or accounting activities.
- Be highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight reporting deadlines.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain complex accounting topics clearly.
- Be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and complex analysis.
- Be comfortable learning and applying new technologies, including AI and automation tools.
- CPA license is a plus.
- Big Four public accounting experience is preferred.
- Experience with Workiva, Oracle, and/or Google Workspace is a plus.
- Experience supporting SEC filings, SOX compliance, external audits, or public-company financial reporting is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and support Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K, earnings releases, financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules.
- Perform detailed tie-outs across reporting materials in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.
- Manage and support equity accounting under ASC 718, including monthly stock-based compensation journal entries, reconciliations, activity analysis, and related reporting.
- Research and analyze routine and emerging U.S. GAAP and SEC guidance, and contribute to technical accounting memorandums.
- Support implementation of new or evolving accounting requirements.
- Support external audits and SOX compliance by preparing documentation and audit schedules and responding to inquiries.
- Maintain internal control documentation and partner across teams to support reporting accuracy.
- Identify process efficiencies and improve or automate financial reporting and accounting workflows using Excel, Workiva, Oracle, Google Workspace, and emerging AI capabilities.
