Requirements
- Bring deep, hands-on expertise in the AWS ecosystem.
- Understand open-source database environments running on AWS.
- Provide architectural guidance across AWS infrastructure where it affects database performance, cost, or reliability.
- Advise on complex implementations and migrations.
- Be able to make technically grounded recommendations based on customer cost, portability, and technical requirements.
- Provide technical guidance on AWS services including EKS, Aurora, RDS, ElastiCache, and MSK.
- Lead customer-facing technical advisory and pre-sales work.
- Build and mentor a dedicated team as the practice scales.
Responsibilities
- Advise customers on AWS database environments and related infrastructure, including EKS, Aurora, RDS, ElastiCache, and MSK.
- Guide customers through complex implementations and migrations, including transitions to AWS.
- Help existing customers improve AWS performance, optimize costs, and adopt relevant AWS or Percona services.
- Advise customers on whether AWS services or self-managed and Percona-supported open-source solutions best meet their needs.
- Work with internal teams to improve software and services for customers running on AWS.
- Collaborate with the Cloud Partnership team on AWS co-sell motions, partner programs, and joint go-to-market efforts.
- Create content, build professional networks, and speak at industry and AWS events.
- Design professional service offerings such as migration assessments, cost optimization reviews, and architecture audits.
- Support pre-sales as a Solutions Architect and enable Sales and Marketing on deals and campaigns involving AWS.
- Hire and mentor a dedicated team as the AWS Practice grows.
