Requirements
- Have a bachelor’s degree or applicable certifications in an IT-related field; Microsoft Azure certifications AZ-104 or AZ-140 are strongly preferred.
- Bring 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure/operations or systems administration.
- Have 3+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure administration experience in a production environment.
- Have extensive Azure Virtual Desktop experience, including host pool and session host design and troubleshooting, image management, application delivery, user session management, and scaling.
- Demonstrate FSLogix expertise, including profile and Office container configuration, storage design and permissions, redirections/exclusions, and troubleshooting profile loading, corruption, and performance.
- Have experience with Microsoft server and desktop administration, Active Directory, Entra ID, and O365 administration.
- Have PowerShell scripting and automation experience; familiarity with Bicep, ARM, or Terraform is a plus.
- Have advanced troubleshooting skills in a multi-user environment and hands-on networking experience, including TCP/IP, firewall, and switch configurations.
- Have experience with documentation and asset inventory management, and experience with cybersecurity/information security.
- Be able to work successfully with limited supervision.
Responsibilities
- Administer the Microsoft Azure environment, including subscriptions, resource groups, access controls, governance, cost management, and capacity planning.
- Lead the transition from MSP operations to internal management, including knowledge transfer, access handoff, documentation, runbooks, and internal processes.
- Design, deploy, and administer Azure Virtual Desktop host pools, session hosts, application groups, workspaces, FSLogix containers, images, and scaling plans.
- Configure and troubleshoot FSLogix profile and Office containers, storage, permissions, redirections, and performance issues.
- Administer Azure virtual machines, storage, networking, backup, disaster recovery, monitoring, and alerting.
- Manage Active Directory and Entra ID, directory synchronization, Conditional Access, MFA, group policy, Intune policies, and O365/email.
- Maintain patching, updates, and images across servers, endpoints, and AVD session hosts; automate recurring tasks with PowerShell and Azure-native tools.
- Maintain Azure documentation, diagrams, configuration baselines, IT operations standards, and hardware inventory.
- Provide senior-level escalation support for helpdesk tickets and end-user issues across multiple locations and remote users.
