Requirements
- Bring strong data engineering experience and operate at senior individual-contributor level.
- Have strong software engineering foundations and production-grade engineering habits.
- Be highly capable with Python and SQL in real data engineering environments.
- Have experience with modern data tooling such as Snowflake, dbt, Dagster, Airflow, AWS, or similar.
- Understand data modelling principles and apply them pragmatically.
- Care about testing, monitoring, alerting, and data quality.
- Be comfortable working in a startup or scale-up environment with high ownership and ambiguity.
- Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python, SQL, Snowflake, Dagster, dbt, and AWS.
- Own data engineering projects from ingestion through analytics enablement.
- Develop and optimise reliable SQL-based data models.
- Improve staging and testing environments for data changes before production.
- Improve monitoring, alerting, and data quality across key pipelines.
- Contribute to CDC and lower-latency data movement initiatives.
- Work with Product, Analytics, Engineering, and business stakeholders.
- Participate in code reviews and help raise engineering standards.
- Pair with other engineers and support junior team members as the team grows.
