Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Minimum GPA of 3.6.
- Foundational understanding of accounting principles, including GAAP, double-entry bookkeeping, and accruals.
- Proficiency with Excel, especially data manipulation.
- Hands-on experience in financial process automation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including investigating and correcting discrepancies in data.
- Ability to independently identify tasks, take ownership, and complete them with minimal supervision.
- Strong organization and time-management skills, with the ability to meet strict reporting deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, scrub, and organize financial records across ledgers and reporting systems.
- Perform weekly and monthly bank, revenue, and crypto balance reconciliations and investigate variances.
- Organize, review, and clean up pre-close items to prepare financial data for month-end close.
- Assist with financial modeling and profitability analysis.
- Support the development and maintenance of budget models and forecasting processes.
- Streamline financial reporting and reconciliation tasks using automation tools and scripts.
- Identify process gaps, discrepancies, and operational inefficiencies, and take ownership of resolving them.
- Complete ad hoc tasks for senior management, investors, and other external sources.
- Assist with year-end audit and tax reporting.
