Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- 3-5+ years of progressive General Ledger accounting experience.
- Solid proficiency in GAAP.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- ERP experience is a plus.
- QuickBooks experience is a plus.
- Be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and deadline-focused.
- Be able to work in a multi-faceted, fast-paced environment.
- Maintain a professional demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Process vendor, agency, and royalty payments, resolve discrepancies, and manage related correspondence.
- Oversee broker and affiliate invoicing and collections.
- Enter payroll transactions into QuickBooks, submit payroll through the designated portal, process weekly 401k payments, and manage monthly health insurance invoices.
- Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns and quarterly modified business tax returns.
- Conduct weekly settlement reviews and postings in QuickBooks.
- Manage cash flow between Advance, Operating, and Payroll accounts.
- Coordinate external insurance audits and handle prepaid and accrual accounts.
- Generate and present monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, bank reconciliations, and accounts payable and receivable aging reports.
- Compile and submit year-end financial reports to external auditors and assist with finalizing tax returns.
- Collaborate with the general manager, auditors, insurance agents, and box office team.
