Requirements
- Have 3+ years of oncology nursing experience.
- Demonstrate mastery of common navigation and care coordination issues, including registration, scheduling, and clinical department navigation.
- Demonstrate mastery of insurance coordination and resolving coverage issues.
- Be proficient with basic computer tools such as Gmail, Zoom, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Be able to work Eastern hours (8am-5pm EST).
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Educate cancer patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and related questions and concerns.
- Work with researchers to deliver tailored information and guide patients to suitable care centers and doctors.
- Address barriers to care by helping with registration, appointment scheduling, health plan or care team coordination, and record transfers.
- Provide ongoing support throughout the patient's cancer journey, including connecting patients with mental health support, financial resources, and transportation.
