Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- MBA with an emphasis in technology preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including direct experience leading through business growth.
- Ability to connect business needs with creative IT solutions.
- Experience in public accounting or middle-market professional services and in a matrixed organization.
- Proven success leading change and introducing new technologies and processes.
- Experience migrating an organization to cloud-based infrastructure and leading change management for adoption of new platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to lead while participating in the technical work required to execute a strategic plan and implement transformative IT solutions.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively across organizational levels and within professional services cultures and processes.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an internal change agent to drive business process enhancements and innovation.
- Provide executive business leadership to the IT team and communicate best practices and technological advancements to senior management and IT stakeholders.
- Collaborate with firm leaders to set goals and align business strategy with firm technology.
- Set and communicate IT infrastructure and software strategy, including storage, cloud-based computing, security, and disaster recovery.
- Lead supervisors responsible for vendors, consultants, infrastructure, security, and internal client support.
- Oversee and develop the IT budget.
- Monitor applicable regulations and compliance requirements for IT infrastructure in a public accounting environment.
- Analyze firm-wide and departmental needs and recommend priorities for modifying, enhancing, or replacing technologies.
- Lead community engagement, employee volunteer, environmental impact reduction, sustainability, and ESG initiatives.
