Requirements
- At least 10 years of professional C/C++ software development experience.
- A strong track record of delivering and maintaining long-term projects across multiple organizations.
- Deep expertise in low-level programming, systems development, and network programming.
- Practical experience with web security concepts, web infrastructure, common threats, and application protection.
- Experience with SQL and relational database technologies.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including debugging, performance optimization, system design, testing, and maintainable code development.
- Working knowledge of Go is an advantage.
- Familiarity with web server architecture and experience developing integrations or extending libraries and tools are valuable.
- Familiarity with PHP, XML, HTML, and CSS is beneficial.
- Exposure to RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI/CD is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote-first organization.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance software components in C and C++ for web security, networking, and infrastructure solutions.
- Develop integration modules for web servers such as Nginx and Apache.
- Extend, optimize, and maintain open-source libraries, tools, and components.
- Implement features in a C++-based bot detection engine.
- Design and build networking and web security products.
- Contribute to web development initiatives, including components of web platforms and site engines powered partly by C++.
- Own the software development lifecycle, including technical design, implementation, testing, debugging, deployment, and ongoing optimization.
- Investigate and resolve systems-level issues involving performance, scalability, networking, and reliability.
- Collaborate with engineering colleagues and technical leadership on architecture, technology evaluation, and engineering solutions.
- Work with infrastructure technologies including Go, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI/CD.
