Requirements
- Have 3+ years building production web applications, personally working on both backend and frontend.
- Show shipped products in your portfolio or work history, not only tutorials or demos.
- Bring strong hands-on React experience; production experience with Next.js is a strong plus.
- Have production experience with Node.js or another popular backend language such as Python, with a clear path to Node.js.
- Have designed APIs, worked with relational databases, and handled auth and third-party integrations.
- Be fluent in TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
- Know engineering fundamentals including Git, code review, testing, and careful production deploys.
- Use Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar AI coding tools daily and be able to catch and fix their errors.
- Have English proficiency at C1 or above.
- Be available through roughly 5 PM EST for live client coordination.
- Provide honest estimates, raise blockers early, and finish work.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship full-stack features for client web products, from data model and API through the React and Next.js interface.
- Design and maintain Node.js backend services and APIs, including auth, integrations, background jobs, and database work.
- Build fast, accessible, responsive React and Next.js frontends, including server rendering and routing where appropriate.
- Turn product briefs and designs into working software, and raise concerns early when scope or technical approach is wrong.
- Use AI coding tools, then review, test, and take ownership of code before it reaches production.
- Keep code clean, tested, and documented for other engineers.
- Work directly with PMs, designers, and US clients on estimates, trade-offs, and launch risk.
- Deploy, monitor, and fix production issues on the apps you build.
