Requirements
- Have several years of experience operating business-critical AWS environments.
- Independently take technical ownership of complex infrastructure and DevOps topics.
- Maintain and improve AWS cloud architecture as a hands-on engineer.
- Manage AWS EKS, Kubernetes, Docker, and containers.
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux systems.
- Use Terraform and Infrastructure as Code, including importing and migrating manually created AWS resources.
- Automate infrastructure and manage configuration.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines; GitLab and/or Octopus Deploy experience is preferred.
- Use Bash and Python scripting.
- Work with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Zabbix.
- Troubleshoot centralized logging and production issues.
- Understand AWS networking, including VPCs, routing, load balancing, DNS, and connectivity.
- Apply cloud and infrastructure security practices, including IAM, least-privilege access, vulnerability management, patching, and hardening.
- Address backup, disaster recovery, availability, platform reliability, incident handling, root cause analysis, and AWS cost optimization.
Responsibilities
- Own AWS infrastructure and improve its architecture and operational standards.
- Automate manual processes and move existing infrastructure toward Infrastructure as Code.
- Standardize, document, and automate existing infrastructure, including importing manually created resources into IaC management.
- Improve stability, security, automation, observability, and cloud architecture across hybrid infrastructure.
- Implement solutions hands-on in AWS, Linux, Kubernetes, or Terraform.
- Challenge existing solutions and propose improvements to architecture, security, reliability, automation, and operational efficiency.
