Requirements
- Have approximately 8 years of cloud or infrastructure engineering experience, with a strong focus on security.
- Bring deep hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure security.
- Have working knowledge of AWS.
- Have practical experience securing Kubernetes environments.
- Have experience with Terraform or OpenTofu.
- Have hands-on experience using AI assistants to review infrastructure code and configuration for security issues.
- Be able to assess complex infrastructure environments, identify security weaknesses, and recommend remediation actions.
- Knowledge of service mesh security, particularly Istio, is an advantage.
- Ability to read and understand Ansible and Chef configurations is an advantage.
- Relevant certifications such as AZ-500, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, or CCSP are an advantage.
- Experience with cloud security posture management tools such as Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Wiz, or equivalent solutions is an advantage.
- Experience bringing legacy infrastructure without established Infrastructure as Code practices under structured management is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Assess Azure infrastructure and selected AWS services for security.
- Review edge security configurations across Cloudflare, Azure Front Door, and Application Gateway, including WAF rules, TLS configuration, and security headers.
- Evaluate the security posture of virtual machines, including SQL Server agency databases and legacy applications.
- Review Infrastructure as Code and configuration management practices using Terraform, OpenTofu, Ansible, and Chef.
- Identify security gaps and define infrastructure hardening baselines.
- Prioritize remediation activities and provide actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with cloud and infrastructure engineers to implement security improvements.
- Use AI-assisted tools to review infrastructure code and configuration.
