Requirements
- Have multiple years of backend development experience with Python or Go, or strong web scraping expertise driven by AI tools.
- Be familiar with web scraping fundamentals and parsing.
- Be familiar with headless browsers.
- Have familiarity with databases such as PostgreSQL or BigQuery.
- Work independently: align on an approach and take ownership of delivery.
- Bring a business-first approach that prioritizes speed and delivery over perfection.
- Be comfortable with direct feedback.
- Have hands-on experience and strong comfort with AI-driven development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Antigravity.
- Nice to have: experience with data engineering, including ETL/ELT pipelines, Spark, Airflow, or Dagster.
Responsibilities
- Design and build high-scale crawlers, scrapers, and supporting infrastructure for thousands to millions of requests.
- Turn client requirements into custom solutions and own projects end-to-end.
- Write functional, reusable code in Python or Go, using AI-driven IDEs to maximize output and efficiency.
- Work within the data platform to support building and delivering large datasets.
- Use internal scraping tools or build new ones as priorities and client routes change.
- Justify technical decisions, perform code reviews, and collaborate with the team.
