Requirements
- Have 10+ years of progressive risk, compliance, or control management experience.
- Bring financial services experience; consumer home loans or mortgage experience is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrate a track record of project-managing complex, cross-functional initiatives through completion.
- Have experience using AI as a productivity tool, including building agentic workflows for repetitive, multi-step responsibilities.
- Have working knowledge of first-line and second-line risk frameworks, such as the three lines of defense.
- Be comfortable operating as the first line rather than as an arm’s-length reviewer.
- Be able to build processes, cadences, and documentation from scratch.
- Be able to manage dozens of open workstreams and communicate progress clearly to executives.
Responsibilities
- Drive the monthly Risk & Compliance Committee, set agendas, track follow-ups, and hold executive leaders accountable for open items.
- Run bi-weekly Risk & Compliance meeting governance, including agenda-setting and follow-up tracking.
- Partner with Legal and Compliance on quarterly risk assessments and project-manage mitigation roadmaps with the business.
- Manage governance initiatives, documentation, and a historical archive.
- Design and establish a first-line-of-defense program using AI, starting with Mortgages, and monitor and test compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage third-party due diligence submissions and document Bankrate’s requests to third parties.
- Coordinate with CISO/IT Security and RV Corporate to create and refresh Bankrate’s internal policy library.
- Validate and record Bankrate’s adherence to its internal policies.
- Serve as Bankrate’s conduit to Red Ventures’ Procurement, Security, and Data Privacy processes.
- Manage certifications across Bankrate, Red Ventures, and third parties, and build AI-enabled employee compliance training.
