Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Five years of hands-on experience in cloud platform engineering, SRE, or DevOps roles.
- Experience supporting large, distributed systems within the Federal Government.
- Deep hands-on experience with Azure, AKS, and Kubernetes operations; AWS experience may be considered in lieu of Azure.
- Deep hands-on experience with Docker, Helm, and Kustomize.
- Deep hands-on experience with Terraform, Terragrunt, and modular infrastructure as code.
- Strong GitOps experience with Argo CD and GitHub workflows.
- Strong experience with platform observability tools, including Azure Monitor and Log Analytics/KQL.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance to achieve technical objectives.
- Comfort collaborating with diverse technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Operate and optimize AKS, including upgrades, scaling, node pools, and troubleshooting.
- Build and manage infrastructure as code with Terraform and Terragrunt.
- Implement GitOps with Argo CD and GitHub workflows.
- Deploy and maintain containerized workloads using Docker, Helm, and Kustomize.
- Manage Azure networking, identity, and security, including VNets, Private Link, RBAC, and Key Vault.
- Run Azure data services, including PostgreSQL Flexible Server, Service Bus, Redis, AI Search, Storage, and ACR.
- Own platform reliability through monitoring, alerting, KQL dashboards, incident response, and performance tuning.
