Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical conversations with customers and facilitate discovery with IT and finance stakeholders.
- Ability to manage expectations, communicate trade-offs, and maintain customer confidence when project requirements change.
- Proven ability to own a problem from discovery through implementation and production delivery.
- Strong understanding of cloud deployment, APIs and integrations, CI/CD pipelines, authentication, secrets management, hosting, monitoring, and observability.
- Production experience with Python or TypeScript, SQL, REST APIs, and at least one major cloud platform.
- Ability to build usable software and develop tools that help other engineers deliver more efficiently.
- Experience integrating applications with enterprise or business systems through APIs, including handling authentication, credentials, and sensitive information.
- Familiarity with LLM-based systems, AI agents, and tool use, including their infrastructure, deployment, and operational requirements.
- Ability to translate ambiguous business and technical requirements into clear recommendations and solutions balancing customer needs, security, reliability, and maintainability.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, work autonomously, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain ownership through implementation and handoff.
- Preferred experience in forward-deployed engineering, technical consulting, platform engineering, DevOps, or broad-scope engineering involving implementation and customer delivery.
- Experience deploying LLM-based systems for real users, including production monitoring and evaluation, is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Deploy and operate customer-facing solutions, including integrations, authentication, secrets management, cloud hosting, monitoring, and release processes.
- Lead technical discovery with customer IT and finance teams and translate findings into deployable technical designs and recommendations.
- Own customer projects from discovery and solution recommendations through development, deployment, delivery, and handoff.
- Build customer-facing AI skills, routines, workflows, applications, and agents, and develop prototypes for customer requirements.
- Build internal tools, templates, infrastructure patterns, and reusable components to improve engineering productivity and consistency.
- Implement monitoring, observability, release management, and operational practices for deployed solutions.
- Explain technical decisions and support customer adoption and integration into existing workflows.
- Partner with Customer Success, Product, and R&D to troubleshoot challenges and communicate customer requirements.
- Identify recurring customer challenges and develop opportunities for reusable platform capabilities and implementation methods.
- Document technical architectures, implementation decisions, and lessons learned.
