Requirements
- Hold a medical degree (MD or DO).
- Have board certification in cardiology or have completed a cardiology residency program in the United States accredited by ACGME or AOA.
- Bring experience working with or collaborating alongside advanced practice providers.
- Have strong leadership, communication, and clinical judgment skills.
- Demonstrate commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based care.
- Long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatric setting experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable with remote collaboration and electronic medical record review.
- Multi-state licensure and/or IMLCC participation is a plus.
- Travel requirements may vary based on collaboration needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical oversight and collaborate with cardiology nurse practitioners and/or physician assistants.
- Hold monthly meetings or check-ins with assigned nurse practitioners.
- Supervise assigned nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
- Consult with providers onsite or through electronic communication, including phone and email.
- Review provider notes and submit summaries for potential regulatory review.
