Requirements
- Bring 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- Have a proven track record designing and delivering complex software systems at scale.
- Have deep experience leading architectural discussions and influencing cross-team technical decisions.
- Demonstrate strong backend/API experience in Python, Java, or PHP.
- Have experience designing versioned, well-documented APIs consumed by multiple teams and services.
- Have hands-on experience building and operating cloud infrastructure such as AWS or Azure.
- Bring frontend development experience and a solid understanding of React and JavaScript.
- Understand database design and relational databases such as MySQL.
- Have exposure to AI technologies, particularly LLMs, embeddings, or natural language processing.
- Have experience mentoring engineers through coaching, design reviews, and code reviews.
- Remain hands-on, shipping production code while setting technical direction.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and end-to-end delivery of complex web-platform features, from architecture through production.
- Design and ship reusable frameworks and shared libraries for use across engineering teams.
- Drive architectural decisions and system-level thinking across teams.
- Build tooling and safeguards to prevent bugs from reaching customers.
- Evaluate third-party models and establish patterns and guidelines for AI-powered features.
- Partner with the ML team to integrate and productionize AI agents and knowledge-graph capabilities.
- Gather customer feedback and collaborate with Product Managers and Product Designers to develop and iterate on features.
- Mentor and coach engineers through technical guidance, design reviews, and code reviews.
