Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 12+ years of software engineering and application development experience.
- 5+ years of engineering leadership experience leading large-scale software development teams.
- Proven experience leading development and delivery of enterprise applications, platforms, and cloud-native solutions.
- Hands-on software development experience with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, PostgreSQL, React, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience with cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure.
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools, DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code, and modern software delivery methodologies.
- Experience developing scalable, highly available enterprise applications and shared services.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, API ecosystems, event-driven architectures, and platform engineering.
- Preferred: experience developing AI-enabled applications, platforms, and engineering productivity solutions.
- Preferred: familiarity with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, and AI-assisted software development.
- Preferred: knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, Terraform, GitHub, Azure DevOps, and modern observability platforms.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the engineering strategy and delivery roadmap for EQE+, AI Workspace, AI-powered engineering tools, and shared applications.
- Lead platform modernization using cloud-native architectures, microservices, APIs, containerization, and event-driven architectures.
- Oversee software development lifecycle activities, from design and development through testing, deployment, operations, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure platform and application availability, scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
- Lead engineering initiatives on AWS and Azure and establish cloud-native practices for resiliency, observability, and operational excellence.
- Partner with DevOps and Platform Engineering teams to establish CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment strategies.
- Integrate Generative AI, Machine Learning, and intelligent automation into engineering platforms and workflows.
- Provide technical and architectural guidance, conduct design and code reviews, and help teams resolve complex technical and production issues.
- Manage engineering priorities, resource allocation, delivery commitments, and technical dependencies with business and technology stakeholders.
- Build, coach, and develop high-performing software engineering teams.
